Jung Chan-woo
Jung Chan-woo (Korean: 정찬우; born in South Korea), is a South Korean singer and actor and a member of the YG Entertainment group iKON.
Life and career
Pre-debut
In 2006, Chanwoo was featured in TVXQ's "Balloons" music video as the young counterpart of Max Changmin.[1]
2008-2013: Becoming a child actor
He first became an actor in 2008 in the movie "Lost and Found" and Korean drama The Great King Sejong. He is well known for playing the child counterpart of actor Lee Minho in Boys over flowers and The Heirs.[2]
2014: Mix & Match and being confirmed as the 7th member of iKON
In late 2014, YG announced that the trainees comprising "Team B," a group which had participated in a previous reality show, would be competing in the reality survival show "MIX & MATCH" for spots in a new idol group, called "iKON." The show premiered on September 11.[3] While trainees B.I, Bobby, and Jinhwan were confirmed for three of the seven spots in the group, the remaining three members of Team B competed with three new trainees, one of whom was Chanwoo, for the four remaining places in the team.
On October 31, after voting totals were compiled from SNS, Facebook and the messaging app LINE, the confirmed line-up began to be announced. Chanwoo was officially confirmed to be a member of iKON on November 5, 2014. The group officially debuted on 15 September, 2015 .
