Juan Lombardo

Juan José Lombardo, born 19 March 1927 in Salto, Buenos Aires province, is a retired Argentine Vice Admiral. He was the commander in chief of the TOAS or Teatro de Operaciones del Atlántico sur (South Atlantic Theatre of Operations) during the 1982 Falklands War. He was also the mastermind of Operation Rosario, the Argentine invasion of the Falklands.[1] Since 2010, he is under house arrest and awaiting trial for crimes against humanity committed in Argentina during the period 1976-1980.[2]
