Juan Ramon Cazares Sevillano (born 3 April 1992 in Quinindé, Ecuador) is an Ecuadorian football midfielder who plays for Atlético Mineiro.

Club career

Youth career

Juan Cazares is an Attacking Midfielder with incredible technique, great agility and speed, and a great free-kicker. Cazares rose in the youth ranks of Ecuadorian giants Barcelona. Barcelona SC kept much of Cazares' monthly salary for playing for Barcelona SC. Because of this act, he then rejoined Norte America.

Cazares was then once again transferred to Independiente José Terán, which he made 16 senior appearances, and scoring 9 goals for the club playing in the Ecuador Serie B. In 2010 Cazares was then loaned to Argentine giants River Plate.

River Plate

In August 2011 his transfer to River Plate was then made official for a reported amount of $1 Million USD. He made his debut for River Plate on December 7, 2011 vs Defensores de Belgrano playing the Copa Argentina.

After River Plate became Pirmera B champions and returned to first-league football, Cazares was called up to train with the first team for the 2012-13 Primera A season. On August 26, his debut came in a 0-0 draw with San Lorenzo de Almagro. River Plate legend Ramon Diaz was made manager for the 2012-13 Clausura season, further taking away a chance for Cazares to play with the first team, since Diaz has stated he intends to replace Cazares for a more experienced attacking midfielder, and would loan out Cazares for that deal.

Banfield

In the summer of 2013 Juan Cazares' once-River Plate coach Matias Almeyda sought him out for Banfield's return to the Primera A 2013–14 season. He played his first match for Banfield in a 1-1 away draw to Almirante Brown. His first goals came on December 7, winning the home–match 4–2, scoring 2 vital goals against promotion rivals Union Santa Fe. Cazares scored his next goal against Crucero del Norte, winning 1–0 away. His 4th goal came against Independiente Rivadavia, winning 4–0 at home turf.

Atletico Mineiro

Cazares was bought by Atletico Mineiro for the Copa Libertadores 2016.[1][2]

International career

Ecuador National Team coach Sixto Vizuete called up Cazares and gave him his first national team match against Bolivia, scoring the second goal of the match.
