Ammo (born Joshua Coleman) is an American songwriter and record producer. In November 2008, Ammo was signed to producer Dr. Luke's publishing company Prescription Songs as an exclusive producer and songwriter. Ammo has gone on to write and produce songs for Beyoncé, Ke$ha,[1][2] Katy Perry, Pitbull, Maroon 5, Britney Spears,[3] Jessie J,[4] Jesse McCartney,[5][6] Jason Derulo,[7] Mike Posner[8] and Becky G.[9]
Background and work
Coleman's first released production was on Jordin Spark's album, Battlefield on the track "Watch You Go".
Work with Ke$ha
Coleman had had considerable success from his work with recording artist Kesha. He co-produced and co-wrote one of Kesha's biggest hits, "Your Love Is My Drug" which peaked at 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100. He also co-produced and co-wrote the lead single from Kesha's first EP Cannibal, "We R Who We R" which became only the 17th song to debut at the top of Billboard Hot 100, and became Kesha's first solo number one in the United Kingdom. He also co-produced and co-wrote "The Harold Song" which is one of Kesha's most personal songs. An acoustic version of the track was released as part of Deconstructed. He has also co-written and produced a track for Kesha's second album Warrior title "Out Alive", which released on December 4, 2012.
