Joseph Bond

Joseph Bond was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography

Bond was born on October 10, 1800 in what is now Warrensburg, New York.[1] He was later a resident of Mukwonago (town), Wisconsin.

Legislative career

Bond was a Democratic member of the Assembly during the 1st Wisconsin Legislature in 1848. He was later a member again in 1855. Previously, he had been a member of the House of Representatives of the Wisconsin Territory in 1840, 1841 and 1846. In 1861, Bond was nominated for the Wisconsin State Senate, but withdrew, choosing instead to support the Republican candidate, John Hodgson.[2]
