The Joseph Bancroft House is a historic house at 101 Lowell Street in Reading, Massachusetts. The Federal-style house was built c. 1831–35 by Joseph Bancroft, son of a major local landowner. The 2 1⁄2-story wood-frame house has a central chimney; its most prominent Federal feature is the front doorway surround, which includes pilasters topped by a tall Doric entablature. To the right side is a 1 1⁄2-story ell that was added in the 1950s.[2]
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.[1]
