Jorge Casado Rodríguez (born 26 June 1989) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for SD Ponferradina as a left back.

Football career

Born in Madrid, Casado joined local Rayo Vallecano's youth system at the age of 11, going on to appear for every youth squad at the club. He made his senior debuts with the reserves, playing two full seasons in Tercera División.

In the 2010 summer Casado signed with neighbouring Real Madrid, being assigned to the B-team in Segunda División B. He represented the side in both that category and Segunda División – almost always as a starter – first appearing in the latter competition in 2012–13.[1]

Casado made his official debut with the Merengues's main squad on 20 December 2011, playing 70 minutes in a 5–1 home win against SD Ponferradina for the campaign's Copa del Rey (7–1 on aggregate).[2][3] He scored his first professional goal on 8 October of the following year, netting his team's second in a 4–2 success at Hércules CF.[4]

On 4 July 2014 Casado signed a two-year deal with Real Betis, freshly relegated to the second level.[5] On 15 July of the following year he rescinded his link, after appearing sparingly,[6] and moved to fellow league team Ponferradina five days later.[7]
