John Robert "Johnny" Strange (December 26, 1991 – October 1, 2015) was a three-time world record holding adventurer. He was formerly the youngest to climb the seven summits, at age 17. Moreover he was a professional Wingsuit BASE jumper.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Death

Strange died in a wingsuiting accident in Europe according to TMZ Sports who confirmed it with a family member and multiple people close to him. Multiple sources reported that Strange was in Switzerland when an error occurred while jumping from Gitschen Mountain near Lake Lucerne,[7] leading to his death. Strange had called in to "Kevin & Bean" on KROQ from Switzerland to say he was shooting a dangerous video where "we fly super close to stuff." After the K&B interview, Strange shot a video while wingsuiting and posted it to social media.[8] On October 4, 2015, a paddle out was held by friends of Strange at Zuma Beach, in honor of his memory.[9]
