John "Jock" Wadell Frame (29 November 1872 – 8 December 1932) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1926 to 1930 sitting with the Liberal caucus in opposition and later the United Farmers caucus in government.

Political careers

Frame ran for nomination under the Liberal banner to run as the party candidate in the Athabasca electoral district in the 1926 Alberta general election.

The nomination was held on May 28, 1926. Frame was acclaimed as the candidate due to incumbent George Mills protesting the hastily called date that prevented party members from the northern portion of the riding to attend.

The race that year was hotly contested. Mills ran for re-election as an Independent Liberal along with two other candidate. On election night, all four candidates polled roughly a quarter of the vote on the first count. Frame held a small lead while incumbent George Mills finished last. Frame won on the third vote count defeating the United Farmers candidate.^[1]

Shortly before the 1930 Alberta general election in April or May Frame crossed the floor to the United Farmers caucus and accepted a United Farmers nomination. He was defeated in the election by Liberal candidate Frank Falconer who won the hotly contested two way race.^[2]
