John Davies (bishop of St Asaph)

The Rt Rev John Stewart Davies^[1] was Bishop of St Asaph from 1999 until 2008.Born on 28 February 1943, he was educated at St. John's School, Leatherhead and Queens' College, Cambridge and ordained in 1974. After an earlier career in Journalism he began his service in the Church at Hawarden.^[2] He was then held incumbencies at Rhosymedre and Mold,^[3] latterly as Archdeacon of St Asaph.^[4]
