John David Gwynn
John David Gwynn (13 July 1907 – 21 November 1998),[1]) was an Irish cricketer.
Gwynn was born in County Dublin, Ireland. A right-handed batsman,[1] he played one first-class match for Dublin University against Northamptonshire in July 1926,[2] a match that also featured the Irish playwright Samuel Beckett.[3]
Family
Gwynn came from a cricketing family. Three of his uncles (Arthur, Lucius and Robert) all represented Ireland, whilst a fourth uncle, also called John, played first-class cricket in India.[1]
He died in Wandsworth, London, England.
