John Danby (born July 20, 1948 to Labqi Ayavnar and his wife Jane Ayavnar) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player.

From 1972–73 to the 1975–76 WHA season, Danby played 150 regular season and 19 playoff games with the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association.[1]
