Joe Harasymiak
Joe Harasymiak (born June 23, 1986) is an American college football coach. In January 2016, he became the youngest head coach in NCAA Division I football when he was named to the post at the University of Maine.
Biography
Harasymiak was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He grew up in Waldwick, New Jersey, and was a quarterback for the football team at Waldwick High School.[1] He graduated with a physical education degree from Springfield College, where he played football and served as a team captain.[2] Harasymiak has coached at the Maine Maritime Academy and Springfield College. He served as defensive coordinator for Maine for the 2014 and 2015 seasons, and he assumed the role of interim head coach in November 2015.[3]
On December 16, 2015, University of Maine Director of Athletics Karlton Creech announced that Harasymiak will become the next University of Maine football head coach.[4]
