Joamie Ilinniarvik School is a public elementary school located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. It is one of the few public schools in the territorial capital, along with Inuksuk High School, Nakasuk School, Aqsarniit Ilinniarvik School, École des Trois-Soleils, and Nanook Elementary School in Apex. The school is an elementary school serving Grades 1 to 5 and named after Inuit hunter Joamie.[1]
The school opened in 1988, but the original building burned down in a fire in 2003 and was rebuilt.[2]
The front of the school features a two-storey gym with classrooms located at the rear. Parking at the school is found on the side street.
