The Jihad in the Path of God Brigade (Arabic: لواء الجهاد في سبيل الله‎, translit. Liwa al-Jihad fi Sabeel Allah) is a group that have been active during the Syrian Civil War. It is currently fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in eastern Aleppo province.^[1] The group acknowledges the Syrian opposition-in-exile government and the Syrian National Council.^[1] The Jihad in the Path of God Brigade was reported to be part of the Euphrates Volcano operations room in late September of 2014;^[3] it released a statement indicating that it was not affiliated with it.^[4] The group has since joined the Euphrates Volcano operations room.
