The Jihad in the Path of God Brigade (Arabic: لواء الجهاد في سبيل الله, translit. Liwa al-Jihad fi Sabeel Allah) is a group that have been active during the Syrian Civil War. It is currently fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in eastern Aleppo province.[1] The group acknowledges the Syrian opposition-in-exile government and the Syrian National Council.[1] The Jihad in the Path of God Brigade was reported to be part of the Euphrates Volcano operations room in late September of 2014;[3] it released a statement indicating that it was not affiliated with it.[4] The group has since joined the Euphrates Volcano operations room.
