Jet Rowland

Jet Paul Rowland (9 April 2002  28 February 2004) is the face and name behind 'Jet's Law' - Queensland's first eponymous law to help protect people from motorists who have a medical condition that may affect their ability to drive. The most common conditions reported are Epilepsy and Diabetes.

On 28 February 2004, an unstable epileptic driver crossed the median strip of the Logan Motorway and collided with the car Jet was travelling in with his mother and older brother. The impact was estimated to be over 200 km per hour. Later that night, Jet's family was forced to withdraw life support and he died at the Mater Children's Hospital.
