Jennie Jacques (born February 28th, 1989) is an English actress who first came to prominence playing Annie Miller, a significant role featuring in five episodes of the BBC series Desperate Romantics,[2] a six-part television drama serial about the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, first broadcast on BBC Two in July and August 2009.[3]

Career

Jacques' television credits include playing murder suspect Katie Fielding in the British police series The Bill, made by Talkback Thames, and artists' model Annie Miller in the BBC Two period drama Desperate Romantics.[2]

Jacques has also been cast as Beth in Paul Andrew Williams' home invasion urban thriller Cherry Tree Lane. In August 2009 she began filming a futuristic thriller called Shank, playing Ree Ree.[4] The film is about gang warfare and set in a decaying future London, and is directed by Mo Ali.[5] Jennie has also appeared in Casualty on BBC1. She played Lily Knowles, the carer of Megan Roach, in the episode: "Nice and Easy Does It" (S24E47) broadcast on 07/08/2010.

In 2011, Jacques was featured in the promotional video for the Mason single, Boadicea. She also appeared in slasher film Demons Never Die, in which she appeared nude during a sex scene with Robert Sheehan.

In 2013 she appeared in an episode of Father Brown made by BBC Birmingham and from the same production company she was cast as the lead actress in the BBC afternoon series WPC 56 about a policewoman in a male dominated world of the 1950s. The episodes were shown consecutively 18 March 2013-22 March 2013. A second series of five episodes were broadcast 10 February 2014-14 February 2014

Jacques portrays Judith, the fictional daughter of King Aelle,[6] in the third season of Vikings.

In 2015, she played the role of Tash in the ITV sitcom The Delivery Man, which aired for six episodes.[7]
