Jeffrey Vincent Parise

Jeffrey Vincent Parise (born July 8, 1974), is an American actor and artist. He has starred in Cupid (1998 TV series) as Nick. He currently portrays the role of Carlos Rivera on ABC soap opera General Hospital.^[1]

Career

Acting

Parise made his acting debut in 1994 on a television series Sisters where he played the role of Dwayne. After that he entered the Los Angeles theatre scene in a string of plays. Including (Jerusalem Ave. written and directed by Christopher Joyce) He then appeared in many short and feature-length films until he landed the role of Nick on another television series Cupid from 1998-1999. He guest starred on several television series like Turks, Millennium (TV series), CSI, CSI:NY (playing 2 different characters 5 years apart) Walker: Texas Rangers, Titans, NYPD Blue, Monk, Judging Amy, The District, Veronica Mars, Party Down, Burn Notice and Castle. He also shot 2 pilots; Good Behavior and Body Politic, both of which did not get picked up. He continued to make a number of short and feature films: Cheap Curry and Calculus (1996), Over My Dead Body (2002), Other Side of the Road (Directed by Wim Wenders) (2003), La torcedura (2004), Artistic License (2005), My Name Is... (2005), etc. In 2007-2008 he was cast in Days of Our Lives playing the role of Detective Sullivan in 10 episodes.^[2] However, in 2007, he landed a lead role of Tony in a comedy film "Call Back; the Unmaking of Bloodstain" which was directed by Eric M. Wolfson. Parise won 3 Best Actor awards for his performance. He was cast in Dark Reel in 2008. In 2008 Parise wrote, directed and starred in the short film Vincent & Lucian.^[3]

According to Access Hollywood, he joined the cast of General Hospital in 2013 playing the role of bad boy, Carlos Rivera. He made his first debut on September 19, 2013 and continued his run through 2015^[4] Parise appeared in the final episode of Mad Men. Where he played Vince the guru. Parise said the last spoken words of the iconic series.

Artist

Parise is an artist, who began painting in the year of 1996. He got his book published, called "A Decade of Paintings 2000-2010", which contains his work, and writings from the people he has painted as well as from himself.^[5][6] He exhibits his works in Los Angeles galleries and art/music festivals throughout California. He also performed the drumbrella with the William Earth Harp Ensemble on the 2012 season of America's Got Talent where they came in 3rd.^[7][8]

Parise is in a relationship with Jewelry designer Malia Mau.
