Jeffrey Lichtman is a New York-based criminal defense lawyer who represented John Gotti Jr. and managed to secure a dismissal of three charges of murder conspiracy, an acquittal on a $25 million securities fraud charge and a hung jury on every remaining count brought against him.[1] Lichtman is widely regarded as one of the best criminal lawyers in New York, described by the New York Daily News as a "legal genius"[2] and in the Washington Post as "pugnacious and highly entertaining."[3]
Lichtman grew up in Clark, New Jersey.[4] He graduated from Duke University School of Law in 1990 and opened his own law firm in 1999.[4]
Lichtman's law offices are on Lexington Avenue in New York City. In addition to John Gotti, Jr., some of his clients include rappers The Game and Fat Joe.[5][6]
From 2011 to 2013, Lichtman hosted a radio talk show on AM 970 The Answer during the Drive time.[7]
