Jeanne Basone (born May 19, 1969) is an German-Jewish descent American female professional wrestler, actress, model and stuntwoman best known by her ring name Hollywood in the women's wrestling promotion Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, founded by David McLane.[1] She appeared as an on-screen character during the promotion's four seasons, where she competed under the ring name Hollywood. She frequently worked as the tag team partner of Vine (portrayed by Janet Bowers) from 1986 to 1988, then Vine quit GLOW and Broadway Rose replaced Vine as Hollywood's tag team partner.
After the cancellation of GLOW in 1989, Basone continued to compete on the independent circuit as Hollywood. She appeared in several all-female wrestling promotions, including CRUSH and Hottest Ladies of Wrestling.[2]
Basone appeared in numerous television series and films as an actress and stuntwoman, including JAG, Days of Our Lives, Chuck, Married... with Children, Saved by the Bell, The Larry Sanders Show, In Living Color, and Me, Myself & Irene.[1] She also starred in the 1994 3DO Game Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.
In 1990 and 1991, she appeared as Hollywood with other members of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling on Family Feud against the men of World Championship Wrestling. There are at least three different week-long (5 episode) shows featuring the women of GLOW against the men of WCW. Family Feud was hosted at that time by the late Ray Combs.
Currently she promotes herself as a "stuntwoman" and a softcore erotic wrestler, under the pseudonym "Hollywould"[3]
In 2014 Jeanne co-wrote a feature film script with actor Brian Hopson entitled "Deathmatch At Diablo" & in 2015 returned to acting with a cameo appearance in the ghoulish horror web series "The Brim Sessions" as Sabrina Black - a patient who is out for revenge [4]
