Jayakumar Jitendrasinh Rawal
Jayakumar Jitendrasinh Rawal is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Sindkheda Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party[1] Rawal was also Member of Legislative Assembly from Sindkheda in 2009.[2] Rawal was one of the general secretaries of the Bharatiya Janata Party Maharashtra State unit in 2013.[3]
Controversy
On 20 March 2013, Rawal was suspended as legislator in relation to the alleged beating up of police officer Sachin Suryawanshi, in the Assembly complex.[4] A state legislature investigating committee later found him not guilty and his suspension was revoked.[5] According to a report in Loksatta, Rawal has been allegedly involved in many criminal activities and has cases against him in relation to murderous assault, kidnapping of a councillor, attempt to murder rioting and financial fraud.[6]
