Terapon jarbua, Target Fish, Crescent Bass, Crescent Perch or Tiger Bass[1] is a Grunter from the Indo-Pacific. It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade. It grows to a size of 36 cm in length although is rarely seen half that size in the aquarium.[2] It gets its name from the concentric circle pattern that can be seen from above, resembling a target. Wild individuals feed on insects, plant matter, small fish, fish scales and crustaceans. This species can be found in brackish water in certain parts of Australia.
