Jamie MacQueen
Jamie MacQueen (born August 2, 1988 in London, Ontario) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Kassel Huskies in Germany.
Career
A 6’1’’ forward, he spent the early stages of his playing career in the WOHL and OPJHL. In 2008, MacQueen enrolled at Bemidji State University in Minnesota.[1] As a freshman, he advanced to the Frozen Four with the Beavers.[2]
He signed with AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters coming out of college in 2012. MacQueen played in 32 contests for the Monsters, before moving to the CHL, where he represented the Denver Cutthroats and lost in the opening playoff round to eventual CHL champions Allen Americans.
In 2013-14, MacQueen made 36 appearances for ECHL outfit Utah Grizzlies[3] and then played for three different AHL franchises until the end of the season, Norfolk Admirals, St. John’s IceCaps and Iowa Wild.[4]
MacQueen signed with Eispiraten Crimmitschau, a member of the second German division DEL2, for the 2014-15 season. Tallying 61 points (30 goals, 31 assists) in 43 games, he made an outstanding impression in his first year in Germany.[5]
He signed for fellow DEL2 club Kassel Huskies for the 2015-16 campaign.[6]
