James Stephens Brown
James Stephens Brown was an American Democratic politician.[1][2] He served as the Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee from 1908 to 1909.[1][2]
Biography
He was a Naval Officer in the Spanish–American War of 1898.[1] He served as Mayor of Nashville from 1908 to 1909.[1]
He was married to Madeline Pattie McComb on November 6, 1895.[1] They had three children: James S. Brown, Jr., Worthington Brown, and C. K. Radford.[1] He died in 1947 at his home in Memphis. He is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.
