James Baugh "Sunny Jim" Mallory III was an American football coach and baseball player in the United States. He attended the University of North Carolina.[1][2]
Coaching career
Mallory was the head college football coach for the Elon Phoenix located in Elon, North Carolina. He held that position for 5 seasons, from 1948 until 1952.[3] His coaching record at Elon was 28 wins, 18 losses and 3 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2013 season, this ranks him #10 at Elon in total wins and #8 at the school in winning percentage (.602).[4][5]
He died in 2001.[6]
