James Thomas Gibbons Hayes, S.J., D.D. is the First Bishop and Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro.[1] He established the Ateneo de Cagayan which is known today as Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan and Lourdes College. A road going to the City Hall of Cagayan de Oro is named after him.
