James Bond 007: VARGR is a 2015 spy thriller comic book written by Warren Ellis, illustrated by Jason Masters, and published by Dynamite Entertainment. The six issue limited series is licensed by Ian Fleming Publications and was the first James Bond comic since the incomplete adaptation of GoldenEye by Topps Comics in 1996. The first issue debuted in November 2015.
Development
In October 2014, Dynamite Entertainment announced plans to publish monthly James Bond comics licensed by Ian Fleming Publications in 2015.[1] Nine months later, writer Warren Ellis and artist Jason Masters were announced as creators of VARGR, a six issue limited series set in the modern-day world of espionage.[2]
Plot
James Bond returns to London after a mission of vengeance in Helsinki, to take up the workload of a fallen 00 agent... but something evil is moving through the back streets of the city, and sinister plans are being laid for Bond in Berlin.[3]
