James Aloysius Hoare, C.F.C. was the third Superior General of the Congregation of Christian Brothers. He succeeded Brother Michael Paul Riordan to the position in 1862.[1] It is unknown if or when he stepped down from being superior general, or if he died while still holding the title. He was succeeded by Brother Anthony Maxwell, C.F.C.[1]
Death
Hoare died in 1902, and is buried in the Christian Brothers Cemetery in Marino, Dublin, Ireland.[2]
