Jacob Carruthers
Jacob Hudson Carruthers (February 15, 1930 in Dallas, Texas – January 4, 2004 in Chicago) was an American academic, noted as an African-centered scholar.
In 1985, Dr. Carruthers was elected first president of the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations at the second annual Ancient Egyptian Studies Conference in Chicago Illinois.
