Jacobus Willem Jonker (born 19 March 1987) is a South African rugby union footballer currently playing with Griquas.^[1]^[2]

Rugby career

He plays mostly as a centre. He represented the Cheetahs in Super Rugby and the Free State Cheetahs. Griffons and Pumas in the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup.

Jonker announced his retirement in 2013 due to a chronic ankle injury, aged 25.^[3] However, he returned to the playing field in 2014 and was included in the Lions squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season.^[4]

He played the remainder of the 2014 Currie Cup Premier Division season for the Pumas before signing a contract to join Griquas for the 2015 season and play for the Cheetahs in the 2015 Super Rugby season.^[5]
