JB's Restaurants

JB's Family Restaurants is chain of restaurants located in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. JB’s Family Restaurants was founded in 1961, and was sold from Santa Barbara Restaurant Group to Lynn Whiteford of LBW Investments in March 2000. JB’s operates 50 restaurants of which twenty four are company operated and 26 are franchised or licensed. The JB's chain also contains the small chain of Galaxy Diners, including a location on Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona.

In 1984, JB's purchased 16 restaurants from the Salem, Oregon-based VIP's chain[1] (not to be confused with a Walmart (Mexico)-owned restaurant chain using that name in Mexico). At that time, JB's Restaurants was based in Salt Lake City and had 80 restaurants, not counting these new acquisitions.[1]

On March 9, 2011, JB's Family Restaurants filed for bankruptcy.[2][3]
