Ivan Ryzhov
Ivan Petrovich Ryzhov (Russian: Ива́н Петро́вич Рыжо́в; January 25, 1913, Moscow Province - March 15, 2004, Moscow) - Soviet and Russian film and theater actor. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1980).
Biography
Born on January 25, 1913 in the village of Green Sloboda Moscow province (now Ramensky District). In 1935 he graduated from the School of the Moscow Theater of the Revolution and became an actor of the theater. In 1940 he became an actor studio Soyuzdetfilm, since 1945 - an actor of the Theatre-studio movie actor.
Filmed in the movies since 1939 (he made his debut in the role of Captain Soroka in the movie Kubans). He was famous for the roles of simple Russian men often episodic, but colorful.
Ivan Ryzhov passed away the morning of 15 March 2004 in a Moscow hospital. According to the stories his daughter, it happened due to negligence of medical staff - the actor has fallen and cut his hand. The funeral service took place not in the House of Cinema, as has happened with other famous actors, and in Botkin Hospital, where he died. There, in a small temple at the hospital, the funeral was held. Tribute to actor came only relatives and a few artists.
