Ivan Nevistić is a Croatian football goalkeeper currently playing for Rijeka in Croatia's 1. HNL. He is considered to be one of the most talented up-and-coming goalkeepers in Croatia.[1]

Club career

Nevistić started his career playing at youth level for his hometown club NK Đakovo. After only one season with the club, he was snatched by NK Osijek, where he played at youth level from 2009 to 2015. In June 2015, Nevistić signed a three-year contract with HNK Rijeka, with the possibility of an additional two-year extension.[2] Following his arrival to Rijeka, he was included as the third goalkeeper in the first-team squad.[3] While Nevistić has not yet made his official debut for the first squad, he was an unused substitute for the first time in Rijeka’s home win against NK Lokomotiva on 12 February 2016.[4] During the first half-season with the club, Nevistić made four appearances for Rijeka Reserves in 3. HNL, along with additional appearances with Rijeka U-19 in Croatia’s U-19 league.[5]

International career

Nevistić began his international career at youth level, playing for Croatia's under-14 team in 2012. Since then, he represented Croatian under-15, under-16, under-17 and under-18 teams. He was in Croatia’s squad for both the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Nevistić earned one cap at the 2015 Euro U-17 Championship, keeping a clean sheet in the group match against Spain.[6]
