Ismet (Turkish: İsmet) is a Turkish form of the Arabic name Ismat. Along with Turkish, the name is also seen in Albanian, Bosnian, and Macedonian. The name means "honesty" or "purity" and in classical Arabic "infallibility", "immaculate", "impeccability", "faultlessness".
