The two antwrens comprise the genus Isleria. They were formerly considered conspecific to the genus Myrmotherula, however studies suggested enough divergence the SACC accepted the genus in 2012. The two species comprising Isleria are:
- Rufous-bellied antwren, Isleria guttata
- Plain-throated antwren, Isleria hauxwelli
