Island-class patrol vessel aka 15m Police Boat
This article is about the Royal Marines Island-class patrol vessel. For the historic Island-class patrol vessel of the Royal Navy, see Island-class patrol vessel.
The Island-class is a class of patrol boat operated by the Royal Marines at HMNB Clyde. They are tasked with protecting high value Royal Navy ships such as the Vanguard-class submarines. The vessels -called Mull and Rona- are ex MoD Police boats and were handed over to the Royal Marines during 2013.[1][2]
