Isabellah Andersson (born Isabellah Moraa Amoro on 12 November 1980 in Kenya [1]) is a Swedish - Kenyan distance runner.[2] She resides in Vilshult in Sweden, and since May 2009 is a Swedish citizen. She competes for the club Hässelby SK.
Andersson became the new Swedish record holder in marathon 22 January 2010 when she was fifth in the Dubai Marathon on time 2:26:52.[3] On 31 October 2010 she finished fourth in Frankfurt Marathon in 2:25.10 hours, thus setting a new national record. She has won Stockholm marathon four times in a row.[4][5] She ran at the 2011 Dubai Marathon and came third, improving her record time to 2:23:41 hours.[6] At the 2011 World Championships, she came 7th.[7] At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she came 18th.[8]
She originally came to Sweden to learn more about the sport Foot orienteering and ended up meeting her husband Lars Andersson, a Foot orienteering enthusiast and competitor.[9] They married in October 2006 and have a daughter named Beyoncé (born 2009), after the American singer.[4][10][11]
