Indira Joshi(Nepali:इन्दिरा जोशी) is a celebrity singer and model of Nepal. She became popular with the song called Rato Ghanghara which was written and composed by Bijay Bhushal. She also sung an item song Udhreko choli from the movie Loot. She got nickname as the Sakira of Nepal demonstrating similar hip movement by Shakira.^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]

Music career

Indira Joshi is one of the popular singer of Nepal. From childhood, she was fond of singing.Her melodious voice was appreciated that encouraged her to participate in Nepali Tara competition. She was one of the finalist. In fact, the only female finalist. Unfortunately, she could not make up to trophy but she did made up to heart of millions.

The love and support from her fans made her launch her very first album Dance with me The title track of the album "Rato ghangra" was superhit.This song did not only establish her as Singer but as dancer too.Because of her notable hip movement or Belly dance,she was honored with the title Nepali Shakira^[7]

From the blockbuster movie, Loot (2012 film), Joshi sang an item song Udhreko Choli ,that was super hit .This raised her status in Nepalese music industry.

Not only this, with her remarkable performance she was featured on Sri Lankan song 1 click of Iraj, Sri Lankan singer.She also remake the famous song of Sri Lankan ,Manamali that hit 1 million views in just 3 days.The remake version of manamali, behuli was massive hit among youngsters.
