Imran Qureshi (born 31 March 1972) is a Pakistani artist from Lahore, Pakistan who works in painting. Imran has participated at many exhibitions worldwide and has also won two awards for his work.[1][2][3] He is brother of comedian Faisal Qureshi.
Life and career
Imran Qureshi was born on 31 March 1972 in Hyderabad, Pakistan. He is brother of comedian Faisal Qureshi. Imran graduated from National College of Arts in 1993.[4] He began his career as an artist in 1997 by participating in ‘Rumors of Spring’ Group show at Lionel Weindt Art Gallery in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Since then, Qureshi has participated in many exhibitions including Admit One Gallery, New York and Corvi Mora Gallery, London. In 2013, Imran was invited to work for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was awarded the Deutsche Bank Award for "Artist of the Year".[5][6] National College of Arts then held an event in Berlin to honour Imran for his award.[7]
