Ilyanassa is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Nassariidae, the Nassa mud snails or dog whelks.[1]
The genus name Ilyanassa has become a synonym of Nassarius, while its two species have retained a valid name in the genus Ilyanassa.
