Idan Maimon is an Israeli handball player. Starting in 1990, he is currently a player-manager and the captain of Hapoel Rishon Lezion.
Maimon is considered as one of the greatest handball player in the history of Israel. He was the first Israeli to play in the Handball-Bundesliga and with Hapoel Rishon Lezion he won 14 championships and 11 state cups[1]
Maimon is the all time goalscorer of the Israeli Handball League, as of October 12, 2013 he scored 2,992 goals (the previous record was of 2,923 by Akiva Lefler).[2]
