Iconography is the debut album of the keyboardist Travis Dickerson. Released December 30, 2009 on his label TDRS Music The album also features the collaboration of several artist's that have worked with him over the years, including drummer Bryan "Brain" Mantia, guitarist Buckethead, keyboardist Vince DiCola, his brother Lindy Dickerson, among many others.

History

The album was announced when some of Buckethead's fans decided to buy from Dickersons label at the same time in an organized event, referred to as "TDRS Binge Day". Travis decided to send a CD of some demos in which he had worked on for several years as a "Thank You" to those who bought that day. The CD contained 2 tracks, one became "Legerdemain" on the album.

The first track is off my much un-anticipated solo record. I have been working on this disc for years but songs kept getting poached off of it and became, Thanatopsis, Population Override, Chicken Noodles and Dragons of Eden. I hope to release it this fall.[1]

The other track, "Boomjam" consisted of a jam between Dickerson and Buckethead, which later appeared on the album Left Hanging under the name "Box Beat Boom".

Dickerson appeared on another interview revealing the state of the album, there he said:

Yes, I finally (almost) finished the solo CD I’ve been working on forever (...) I was hoping to get it out in November but I’m waiting for Buckethead to play a few finishing licks. I still might make it by the end of November or early December.[2]

In December, Dickerson published on his label's website the official release date, along with the track listing and the credits to each track. Also releasing the song "Scansion" on the same page along with "Legerdemain".[3]
