Ichinoseki Domain

Ichinoseki (一関藩 Ichinoseki-han) was a Japanese domain of the Edo period, located in Mutsu Province.[1] It was a branch domain of the Date clan of Sendai, ruled by the Tamura clan. Ichinoseki took part in the Ouetsu Reppan Domei in 1868, before surrendering to the Satsuma-Chōshū coalition.

History

An Ichinoseki doctor was influential in the establishment of a medical school in Sendai in 1822.[2]
