IPPR (the Institute for Public Policy Research) is a progressive thinktank based in the UK. It was founded in 1988 and is an independent registered charity. It produces, conducts, and publishes research into, and promotes public education in, the economic, social and political sciences, and in science and technology; including the effect of moral, social, political and scientific factors on public policy and on the living standards of all sections of the community.[1]

The founding director was James Cornford.[2] The current director (from April 2016) is Tom Kibasi.[3]

IPPR publishes Juncture, the quarterly journal of politics and ideas.
