IPCTV is a satellite television channel in Japan that broadcasts programming in Portuguese since 1996. Was the first satellite channel to carry the signal from a Brazilian TV outside Brazil. The company is called, IPC World Inc. and transmits the Channel 514 – Globo International. The headquarters is in Tokyo.
History
As of August 2007, was renamed IPCTV if IPC World, Inc. and is the first affiliate of Rede Globo abroad to produce the following programs:
– Jornal IPC, newscast of the Brazilian community in Japan (in the air since 1996, replaced by JPTV);
– Agenda+, utility program that addresses the cultural agenda and services in Japan (in the air since 2002);
– Planeta Brasil – Japan Edition, a program that shows how Brazilians living in Japan, how do they deal with homesickness, country and family (in the air since 2007).
On 11 April 2011 debuted the "Mundo da Xuxa" program. It is a special program, aired for Brazilian children that are being created overseas, especially in Japan.
