Hyposmocoma malornata is a species of moth of the Cosmopterigidae family. It is endemic to Necker Island, Nihoa, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii. The type locality is Olinda, where it was collected on an altitude of 4,000 feet.
The larva is probably a case-maker, and it may feed on lichens.
