Christopher Dooley, Jr. (born March 7, 1989), better known by his stage name Hurricane Chris, is an American rapper from Shreveport, Louisiana.
His debut single, "A Bay Bay" was released on May 28, 2007. The song became a top ten hit single. On October 23, 2007, Chris released his debut album 51/50 Ratchet, which debuted at number 24 on the US Billboard 200. On December 21, 2009, Chris's second album Unleashed was released, preceded by two singles "Halle Berry (She's Fine)" and "Headboard".
Early life
Christopher Dooley, Jr. was born on March 7, 1989, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dooley attended Huntington High School, and then he would dropped out of school to begin pursuing his music career.

Career
2007–09: 51/50 Ratchet and Unleashed
On May 28, 2007, Chris released his debut single, titled "A Bay Bay", with the production handling by Phunk Dawg.
On August 8, 2007, he then released his second single for his debut album, titled "The Hand Clap". Phunk Dawg handled the production on this song; the same producer, who did the work on Chris' commercially successful debut single "A Bay Bay".
On August 17, 2007, Chris begin promoting the release of his debut album, with the release of his debut mixtape, titled Louisi-Animal; which was hosted by Don Cannon. The mixtape features the remix to "A Bay Bay", which features guest appearances from rappers The Game, Lil Boosie, E-40, Baby, Angie Locc (who represents from the group The Lava House), Jadakiss and added to the song was a verse by a fellow rapper and Chris' Polo Grounds' label-mate C-Ride.
On October 23, 2007, Chris released his first major-label debut album 51/50 Ratchet. The album debuted at number 24 on the US Billboard 200, selling 26,000 copies in the first week.
On March 3, 2009, he released his first single for his second album, titled "Halle Berry (She's Fine)". The song features guest vocals from a fellow local rapper Superstarr; whom also produced this song, alongside its production by Play-N-Skillz and Q Smith.
In March 2009, Chris' new song, titled "Headboard" was leaked online. It features guest vocals from American singer Mario and a fellow rapper Plies, while its produced by The Inkredibles. The song "Headboard" was officially released as the second single for his second album on September 8, 2009.
On December 21, 2009, Chris released his second album Unleashed, which have only peaked at number 46 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and number 20 on the US Top Rap Albums charts, respectively. It did not charted internationally.
2010–present: Label dispute and third studio album
In 2010, some reports were occurred that Chris parting ways, dropped, released, or left the Polo Grounds. Following his label dispute, Chris revealed that he's been working on his upcoming third album, called Showtime. Then, the title for the album was changed to Showtime: Still 51/50. Upon the album's title change, he launched his record label 51/50 Entertainment, with distribution by FyreHouse Entertainment. Since then, he's been in the studio working on his third album, with several producers such as Shawty Redd, his longtime collaborator Phunk Dawg, DJ Spinz, DubMagic Roe, 1500 or Nothin', Seven and Mr. Bangladesh, among others. In 2010, even though he was continuing to be recording his third album, he's been putting out these releases of his mixtapes.
On March 12, 2012, Chris' non-album track, titled "Bend It Over" was leaked online. The song was officially released through iTunes, as the single. On May 25, in an interview with AllHipHop, Chris announced that he has changed the title to his third album, called Return of the Hurricane.
In December 2012, Chris released two music video's for "I Dont F*ck with Yall" and "Ball Out", in promotion of his next mixtape, titled Caniac. On January 2, 2013, Chris released his sixth mixtape Caniac. The videos was released for "Down South" and "Pu**y on Me".[1][2]
On January 11, 2014, Chris released his new single, titled "Ratchet". The song was produced by DJ Mustard. On January 16, the song was officially released through iTunes. On May 11, he released the remixed version of "Ratchet", which features guest vocals from a fellow Louisiana's rapper Boosie Badazz.[3]
On August 21, 2015, Chris announced the release of his another new single, titled "Sections". The song features guest vocals from American recording artist Ty Dolla Sign, while it's produced by DJ Mustard. He states that this single is a club banner that will pick up, where Hurricane Chris had left off, to become the great commercial and radio success.[4] The song was also included on his recent mixtape Hurricane Season, in which the mixtape was released on September 4, 2015.
Personal life
In an interview with The Advocate's Samantha Morgan, Dooley spoke about how he came up with "Hurricane", as part of his stage name; saying that it was from his ability to rap fast, while twisting them words, "like a hurricane had just blown through".
