Hundred More Years is the second studio album released by Francesca Battistelli on March 1, 2011.[1][2] Speaking with Songfacts, Battistelli explained the background to the album's lead single, "This Is The Stuff": "I came up with like 20 different frustrating things, and we just picked our favorites. The idea of me losing my keys and my phone is very true to my life. I'm constantly having my husband call my phone because I can't find it, and then it happens to be in my purse or in my pocket - it's a very true line."[3]

Hundred More Years has been acclaimed by music critics. Tom Frigoli of Alpha Omega News found that "the album truly shines, and Francesca Battistelli continues to be a joy to listen to."[5] At CCM Magazine, Grace S. Aspinwall claimed the release "reveals the only flaw of the album: it ends far too soon."[6] The Christian Manifesto's Lydia Akinola told that with respect to this album "what you see is what you get."[7] Lins Honeyman of Cross Rhythms highlighted that as an artist she "continues to go from strength to strength."[9] At Jesus Freak Hideout, Jen Rose evoked that "Hundred More Years ushers spring in with a smile and offers a refreshing break to the weary soul."[10]

Rich Smith of Louder Than the Music alluded to how "Hundred More Years sounds as fresh as Francesca's first album, and like her first this is uplifting and enjoyable", and noted how the release is "infectious and will have you hooked right from the beginning to the end".[11] At New Release Tuesday, Sarah Fine affirmed that the release showed "much growth" in her development.[12] Also, Kevin Davis of New Release Tuesday toucned on how the album does not contain any "filler", and wrote that the artist "hit on all cylinders with this stellar pop music album."[13] At USA Today, Brian Mansfield stated that "she's taking eloquent long-range views on love and family."[14]

However, Andrew Leahey of Allmusic said that the artist's "main goal seems to be making music, not converting her listeners", so the album "puts forth some strong Christian ideals without condemning any listeners who might not share the same beliefs."[4] At Christianity Today, Ron Augustine said that this "latest album is as poppy" as her debut effort.[8]
