Hovězí is a village and municipality (obec) in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. The name of the village, translated to English, is literally "beef".
The municipality covers an area of 22.1 square kilometres (8.5 sq mi), and has a population of 2,407 (as at 28 August 2006).
Hovězí lies on the Vsetínská Bečva river, approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-east of Vsetín, 30 km (19 mi) east of Zlín, and 277 km (172 mi) east of Prague.
