The community of Liberty Hill gets its name from an antebellum plantation house called "Liberty Hill". The house was built in the area in 1836 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 1975.

Houston (also Liberty Hill) is an unincorporated community in Heard County, Georgia, United States. Its elevation is 833 feet (254 m), and it is located at 33°9′34″N 85°8′16″W / 33.15944°N 85.13778°W / 33.15944; -85.13778 (33.1595654, -85.1377196).[1]
